Welcome to the 2011-2012 Sandhills Writers Series, a program which continues Augusta State University’s commitment to creative writing and creative writers by bringing to Augusta some of the finest contemporary creative writers working in genres that include fiction, poetry, and non-fiction. The series features author readings, informal Q & A sessions, book signings, and author receptions.
On October 19, novelist and memoirist Karen McElmurray will be featured and on October 20, poet Cornelius Eady.
The Spring 2012 sessions on March 15 will feature Jamaican poet and critic Donna Aza Weir-Soley and novelist and Hollywood script writer Jeffrey Stepakoff.
