Awards

The Sandhills Writers Conference is considered the Southeast's most prestigious conference for writers of fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and children's literature.

First, second, third place, and/or honorable mention awards, judged by the Conference writing staff, will be presented in each category. The Morgan Fitz-George Kuhl Student Writer Award will also be presented.

First Place manuscripts will have the opportunity to be published on the conference web site.

Awards will be presented Saturday during the awards presentation and closing activities at 11:30 a.m.

2009 Winners

First, second, third place, and/or honorable mention awards, judged by the Conference writing staff are presented in each category along with the Morgan Fitz-George Kuhl Student Writer Award. In some cases, judges choose not to award all three places.
